Bio and experience
Lisa Davis joined Credible in 2024 as an editorial assistant covering student loans, later served as content production lead across multiple verticals, and is now an editor for student loans. She got her start in publishing on staff at Texas Lifestyle Magazine, interviewing and profiling some of the state's most interesting people, then moved to RetailMeNot, where she covered breaking news and wrote about shopping and savings, fashion, beauty, and home design. Earlier in her career, she worked as a paralegal drafting pleadings and briefs.
Outside of work, Lisa is an enthusiastic Formula 1 fan, spends as much time as she can with her kids, and does Pilates every chance she gets. She's based in Austin, Texas.
Education
Lisa has a master's degree in communication and a master's certificate in sports communication from Texas Tech University, where she was recognized for academic achievement by Phi Kappa Phi. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication and public relations from Concordia University Texas, graduating summa cum laude.
