Bio and experience
Emily is a personal finance writer with a special interest in writing about banking, loans, and budgeting. After seeking out as much as she could about personal finance post-college, she loves making this information more accessible for the everyday consumer.
Before her writing career, Emily worked as an educator at a science and nature-focused nonprofit. She brings her communications skills and passion for education to her work as a personal finance writer.
When she’s not writing, Emily loves spending time outside—skiing, swimming, or hiking—and cooking whatever’s in season.

Emily graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in environmental studies.
