A newly minted 23-year-old Google employee who graduated from college with $22,434 in student loan debt expects to pay off his obligations within the next six months.

Business Insider reports that “Brandon” has already paid down his┬ástudent loans to $16,449 in the last four months. But there’s a catch.

To avoid paying the San Francisco Bay Area’s astronomical rent, he’s living in the back of a 128-square-foot box truck, and blogging about the experience.

While it’s not as harsh a life as you might imagine, not everybody will be able to follow Brandon’s example. Google provides employees with three meals a day, and he showers in the company gym.
